I use Norton Internet Security along with MalwareBytes Premium.

There is no correct answer to what is the best security out there... it is what is best for you, how you use the internet and what you want to be protected from.  Realize that nothing is going to protect you 100% and that is just the way it is.

Additional options are to run behind a VPN (Virtual Private Network) of your choice that suits your needs / budget, and to hide your Wi-Fi Router ID / Status.

Mind you that each of these options will slow down your computer and internet speeds.  And YES Apple users, you are vulnerable.  In fact, more so than PC users in today's environment.  That includes mobile devices people!

I'm NOT saying that what I am using is the best, but it's the best for my needs / wants.

I use the same.  Paid for 10 devices every year.  Works on all my comps (pc, apple, smartphones and tablets)

Norton Internet Security is my choice.
It may not be your choice; but it protects my Windows PCs, My apple Comps, My Tablets and Smartphones out of one box that costs me less than %50 a year.  And unlike other AV/IS companies like McAfee (system hog) or Kaspersky (russian server), I can count on protection, backup and tuneups with limited system resources.
I know people are going to call me out on this... but how many of you actually work in the Tech Industry Independently?

I find common sense is a lot less draining on system resources than any AV - it's been 7 years since I last installed one and never a problem :cool

Admittedly the year before those 7 I was on a steep learning curve :smile

Been using Norton for a few years, covering 5 devices. Works great (apart from on my MacBook where it's constantly saying it's out of date every day because for some reason won't run live update on it's own), but on my PC, phone, etc it's all good. Someone laughed saying it slows PCs down, but it doesn't. They might have done years and years ago, but I've not noticed a slow down in my PC and it does what it's meant to do.

Tend not to visit anywhere that I think would give me a virus, but it's a good piece of mind, as working in IT I've seen people hack sites and install viruses to download on some popular websites.

Needed to reinstall my Windows and decided to remain with Defender. Because lately Eset Internet Security starting to block many "mine sites"
So i no more reinstall Eset, even it's paid and genuine to end of 2018.
